The Africa–International Tourism and Economic Council (AITEC World) has marked a historic milestone with its Second Launch held on the 6th November, 2025 at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), Addis Ababa, reaffirming its mission to transform the global tourism landscape through an African-led, inclusive, and sustainable development model.
Delivering his welcome address, the President of AITEC World, Amb. Dine Bouraima described the occasion as a “celebration of unity, purpose, and continental pride,” emphasizing that Addis Ababa—Africa’s diplomatic capital—was the perfect venue to continue the journey that began in Abuja, Nigeria, during AITEC World’s regional launch in August 2025.
He recalled that the Abuja launch, chaired by H.E. Omar Touray, President of ECOWAS, had set the tone for Africa’s readiness to lead in shaping a new global tourism order. “That event was not just a ceremony but a declaration that Africa is ready to take its rightful place in driving global tourism and economic growth,” he stated.

“This is more than a formality; it is the dawn of a new chapter that brings Africa and the world together in a shared mission to make tourism a true engine for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development,” he also noted.
The President also extended an open invitation to governments, organizations, and private sector stakeholders to join the AITEC World movement, stressing that the vision can only be achieved through collaboration. “Tourism must go beyond travel—it must become an act of transformation,” he said.
“Tourism is not merely about destinations — it is about people, peace, and progress,” he declared. “Through AITEC World, we envision a future where tourism becomes the bridge that connects nations, strengthens economies, and unites humanity.”
As the event concluded, the President expressed deep gratitude to all partners and supporters, affirming that Africa is no longer waiting to be invited to the global tourism table — Africa is hosting it.
“With unity, purpose, and confidence, together we are AITEC World — together, we are shaping the future of global tourism,” he concluded.
