The Africa International Tourism and Economic Council (AITEC World) has appointed of Hon. Catherine Afeku, former Minister of Tourism and Culture of Ghana, as one of its distinguished Board Members.
Hon. Afeku, a seasoned policymaker and former Member of Parliament, also served as Ghana’s Representative to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Her wealth of experience in tourism development, cultural diplomacy, and regional integration makes her a valuable addition to AITEC World’s vision of bridging Africa’s tourism and economic potential with the global community.
In welcoming her to the Council, AITEC World expressed confidence that her proven leadership and passion for global tourism transformation will help drive initiatives that foster sustainable tourism, strengthen economic cooperation, and showcase Africa’s unique heritage to the world.
The Council congratulates Hon. Catherine Afeku on her appointment and looks forward to working with her in advancing its mission of promoting African and global tourism.
