The Africa-International Tourism and Economic Council (AITEC World) proudly celebrates the recognition of its President, Amb. Dine Bouraima, and Vice President for Communications and International Relations, Amb. Kazeem Balogun, by the Institute of Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN) during the Gala Night of the 9th National Transportation Tourism Summit and Expo held at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria.
The prestigious awards, presented before an audience of distinguished government officials, tourism stakeholders, transport experts, diplomats, captains of industry and development partners, acknowledged the outstanding contributions of the two AITEC World leaders to the advancement of tourism and economic development across Africa.
Amb. Dine Bouraima was honoured with the Pan-African Tourism Leadership Impact Award in recognition of his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to promoting sustainable tourism, regional integration, investment and economic cooperation throughout the continent. Amb. Kazeem Balogun received the African Tourism Media Excellence Award for his remarkable achievements in tourism journalism, strategic communications and the promotion of Africa’s tourism, culture and investment opportunities through the media.
These recognitions further affirm AITEC World’s growing influence as a leading continental organisation dedicated to using tourism as a driver of economic transformation. Since its establishment, the Council has remained steadfast in its mission of connecting Africa to the world and the world to Africa by fostering strategic partnerships that encourage tourism development, trade, investment, cultural exchange and sustainable growth.
Speaking after receiving the award, Amb. Dine Bouraima expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Institute of Tourism Professionals of Nigeria for the honour, describing it as a recognition of the collective efforts of AITEC World and its partners across Africa and the world. He reiterated the Council’s commitment to working with governments, international organisations and the private sector to build a stronger, more competitive and more connected African tourism industry.
